Today my thoughts and love are with the people of Brussels and all affected. What happened today is awful. It is a tragedy. Lives are lost, fear, pain, and confusion are the primary emotions of the day. But you will go on. Humans are resilient. In 2005 I was living in London riding the tube to work when the 7/7 bombs went off. I was lucky. I was running late. I was at a train one behind. I was at a stop too early. For years the main thing I took away from that day was the image of thousands of people walking around the streets on London. There was fear, pain, and confusion, but there was also resilience. We went on. These events are awful and tragedy of this level happens in our global community far too often. Dear people of Brussels, I get it. Today is awful. It is okay to grieve. These acts are a violation of human kindness and social safety. It will get better. You will move on. Today I am sending love into the universe. #spreadlove
